Yes, AquaZipo is designed to filter freshwater sources such as streams, rivers, and lakes found in the British countryside. Its 0.01-micron hollow-fibre membrane effectively removes bacteria, protozoa, microplastics, and sediment, ensuring you stay hydrated safely.

AquaZipo removes 99.9999% of bacteria (like E. coli) and 99.9% of protozoan parasites. It also filters out microplastics and suspended sediment. Please note it is not designed to remove viruses, salt from seawater, or chemical contaminants.

The filter is rated for up to 4,000 litres (approx. 880 gallons) of use. With regular backflushing using clean water, you can maintain a high flow rate for years of hiking and camping trips.
